Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
After pick-up in Kampala or Entebbe, drive north towards Murchison Falls National Park with a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Here, enjoy an exciting walking safari to track southern white rhinos in their natural habitat. After this memorable experience, continue to Murchison Falls, Uganda’s largest national park. Enjoy scenic views of savannahs and local villages along the way. Arrive at your lodge near the park in the evening for check-in, relaxation, and dinner. This day offers a perfect start to your wildlife adventure with a mix of conservation, scenic travel, and cultural immersion.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise
Begin your day with an early morning game drive across the northern plains of Murchison Falls National Park. Look out for lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, and various antelope species. With luck, you may spot a leopard or hyena. Return to the lodge for lunch and a brief rest. In the afternoon, embark on a boat cruise along the Nile River to the base of Murchison Falls. Watch for hippos, crocodiles, and water birds, and enjoy the spectacular view of the powerful falls. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay in the heart of the wild.

Day 3: Top of the Falls Visit and Transfer to Kibale National Park
After breakfast, visit the top of Murchison Falls for breathtaking views where the Nile surges through a 7-meter gorge with immense power. Capture stunning photos and experience the thunderous roar of the falls up close. Then, depart for Kibale National Park, a long but scenic drive through changing landscapes, rural towns, and lush vegetation. Stop for lunch en route and arrive at Kibale in the evening. This park is famous for its primates, especially chimpanzees. Check into your lodge, enjoy dinner, and relax as you prepare for the forest experiences awaiting you.

Day 4: Nature Walk and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Wake up to the sounds of the forest and take a guided nature walk in the surrounding area, exploring Kibale’s diverse ecosystems. Spot birds, monkeys, and colorful butterflies during the walk. After breakfast, begin your drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, located in the shadow of the Rwenzori Mountains. The route takes you through tea plantations and crater lakes. Arrive in the afternoon and check into your lodge. Enjoy sunset views and a relaxing evening as you prepare for the next day’s safari adventures. All meals are provided during this travel and transition day.

Day 5: Game Drive and Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise
Rise early for a thrilling morning game drive through Queen Elizabeth National Park’s Kasenyi plains. Look for tree-climbing lions, buffaloes, elephants, Uganda kobs, and a variety of birdlife. After breakfast at the lodge, relax before heading out in the afternoon for a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. This natural waterway is packed with hippos, crocodiles, and bird species, offering fantastic photographic opportunities. Watch wildlife come to drink and bathe along the shores. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight, reflecting on the incredible encounters of the day.

Day 6: Chimpanzee Tracking and Return to Kampala
After an early breakfast, transfer to Kyambura Gorge for chimpanzee tracking. Descend into the “Valley of Apes” for a guided trek in search of wild chimpanzees. Observe them in their natural forest habitat and learn about their behavior and ecology. The gorge also hosts other primates and diverse bird species. After the tracking experience, begin the return journey to Kampala or Entebbe, with a stop for lunch along the way. Enjoy scenic views of the countryside as you end your unforgettable six-day Ugandan wildlife safari.
