4DAY GORILLA AND GOLDEN MONKEY TRACKING SAFARI MGAHINGA GORILLA NATIONAL PARK “WHERE GOLD MEETS SILVER”

This 4 day safari takes you to one of the smallest Mgahinga Gorilla National Park in south Western Uganda in Kisoro district boarding Rwanda and Democratic Republic Of Congo( DRC). The park is endowed with beautiful natural tropical rain forests, bamboo forests and swamps where we find unique endangered species including mountain gorillas. Other animals including Golden monkeys, elephants,vervet monkeys,spotted hyenas,giant forest hogs, Duikers and also the beautiful three virunga mountains Mt. Muhavura, Mt. Gahinga and Mt. Sabinyo.

Day 1: Pick-up & Transfer to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park
Your safari begins with pick-up by our professional safari guide  from Kampala or Entebbe depending on your location. On your way enjoy a scenic drive through Uganda’s countryside, passing lush landscapes, rolling hills, and lively roadside markets. You will have a stopover at the Kayabwe Equator for photos, demonstrations. Continue through Masaka and Mbarara, with lunch en route before continuing to Kisoro, nestled near the park. Arrive in the evening, check in at your lodge, relax,have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking Experience
After an early breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for a briefing by experienced rangers before you embark on a guided unforgettable tracking experience through the forest in search of the endangered mountain gorillas this will take a couple of hours to a full day, depending on the gorilla family location. Once found, spend an unforgettable hour observing their behavior and interactions.Then you will return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Golden Monkey Tracking & Batwa Cultural Experience
Have morning breakfast and   head to the park headquarters for a briefing by experienced rangers then embark on tracking the playful and rare golden monkeys in the bamboo forests which will take 30 minutes to 3hours depending on the location of the golden monkeys. Once found you will have a an hour with them in their environment as you observe the way they behave, watching them jump from tree to tree as you take photos and videos. You will head back to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.   In the afternoon, you will engage in a Batwa cultural experience where you will have a chance to encouter true indigenous African tribe called the Batwa also known as pigmies.During the cultural experience you will learn  about the traditions, dances, and forest survival, hunting and gathering skills. You will also visit their ancient Ngarama caves where war meeting were held and sacrifices to their gods.

Day 4: Return to Kampala

You will enjoy your final breakfast at the lodge before checking out and begin your journey back to Kampala, You will have a stopover  for lunch en route. You will then continue with your journey to kampala where you expected to Arrive iin the evening and be dropped off at your preferred.
