ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Your Rwanda adventure begins upon your arrival at Kigali Airport, where you will be welcomed by an Bush Craft Safaris representative. After a warm welcome, transfer to Volcanoes National Park, arriving in time for dinner and check in reserved lodge.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking

Start your day with an early breakfast at 7:00 am before heading to the park headquarters for a briefing on the Rwanda gorilla trek protocol. The trek begins at 8:30 am, taking you through thick vegetation. Though the hike can be challenging but it is incredibly rewarding. You will need to be relatively fit to handle the steep slopes. Managed by a park ranger, the trek to the gorillas’ resting place can take between 4 to 8 hours. Once your gorilla group is located, you will spend one hour in their company, experiencing close encounters with these gentle giants.

Day 3: Transfer to Kigali

After breakfast, enjoy the scenic views as you transfer back to Kigali, arriving in time for lunch. Check into Five-to-Five Hotel for refreshments before preparing for a city tour the following day.

Day 4: City Tour and Airport Transfer

Begin your final day with breakfast, followed by a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial. This museum offers a poignant reminder of the 1994 massacres, built on a site where over 250,000 people are buried. The exhibits powerfully tell the story of Rwanda’s history and the unfolding genocide, including touch screens with testimonies from survivors. After this sobering experience, transfer to the airport in the evening for your international flight, ensuring you arrive three hours before departure.
