Day 1: Welcome to Rwanda

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park.

Day 3: Kigali City Tour and Transfer to the Airport

 

Day 1 – Welcome to Rwanda!

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our professional driver/guide. After a brief introduction, you will be transferred to your  hotel in Kigali where you can relax and unwind after your journey. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Transfer to Musanze for Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park.

After breakfast, depart Kigali for Kinigi/Musanze, the gateway to Volcanoes National Park. At the RDC office, complete registration, receive group allocation, and attend a briefing. Trek through lush forest in search of endangered mountain gorillas; the hike can be demanding, so good fitness is advised. Recommend gear  includes long sleeved shirts, pants, hand gloves, rain jackets, and sturdy hiking boots.  Porters are available at approx. $15. After this unforgettable experience, enjoy lunch at Migano restaurant before driving back to Kigali for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Kigali City Tour and Transfer to the Airport

After breakfast, you will proceed with check out at the hotel and you start the Kigali City Tour by visiting Kundt Museum for the history of Rwanda before and during the colonial period, followed by Kigali Genocide Memorial which is the final resting place for more than 250,000 victims of the Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda. After you will visit the Campaign against Genocide Museum located in the Parliament building and enjoy the beautiful view of Kigali City through the rooftop of the building. Afterward, you will enjoy lunch and visit the vibrant Kimironko market, where you can shop for local souvenirs and crafts. Depending on your flight schedule, our driver/guide will then transfer you to Kigali International Airport for your departure.
