Day 1: Arrival in Kigali, City Tour, and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be greeted by your guide who will accompany you on a fascinating city tour. This includes visits to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, local markets, and cultural centers where you can immerse yourself in the country’s history and vibrant culture. After enjoying lunch, you will embark on a scenic 2-3hour drive to Volcanoes National Park. Upon arrival, you will check in at your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay. This day provides a perfect introduction to Rwanda with a blend of history, culture, and scenic beauty. The city tour offers a deep insight into Kigali’s past and present, while the journey to Volcanoes National Park reveals Rwanda’s breathtaking landscapes.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking and Relaxation
Start your day with an early breakfast at the lodge before heading to the park headquarters for a pre-trek briefing. You will then embark on a thrilling gorilla trekking adventure through the misty rainforest. The trekking time varies from 2-6 hours depending on the location of the gorilla group. Once you locate the gorillas, you will have a magical hour to observe and photograph these gentle giants in their natural habitat. After the trek, return to the lodge for a well-deserved rest and spend the afternoon at leisure. Enjoy dinner and another overnight stay at the lodge. Gorilla trekking is the highlight of the safari, offering a once-in-a-lifetime chance to witness these majestic creatures up close.
