African Sacred Ibis Adventures Attends POATE 2025 at Munyonyo, Kampala

From May 21st to 24th, 2025, African Sacred Ibis Adventures proudly participated in the Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo (POATE) held at the prestigious Munyonyo Commonwealth Resort in Kampala, Uganda.

As one of East Africa’s leading travel trade events, POATE 2025 brought together local and international tour operators, travel agencies, hoteliers, airlines, media, and tourism boards under one roof — all with the shared goal of promoting Uganda as a world-class travel destination.

Why We Attended

As a Ugandan-based tour operator passionate about responsible travel, wildlife conservation, and unique African experiences, POATE provided the perfect platform for us to:

• Network with key players in the tourism industry, both local and international
• Showcase our safari packages — including gorilla trekking, birding, cultural tours, and off-the-beaten-path adventures
• Engage with potential partners interested in sustainable tourism and authentic African experiences
• Learn about the latest trends and innovations in the travel sector, especially post-pandemic recovery strategies

What We Took Away

Attending POATE 2025 was more than just marketing — it was an opportunity to grow. We connected with dozens of global buyers, media representatives, and fellow tour operators, each sharing fresh ideas and opportunities for collaboration.

We were especially excited to see increased interest in eco-tourism, community-based travel, and unique cultural encounters — all areas that align closely with our mission at African Sacred Ibis Adventures.
