4 Day Kibale Chimpanzee And Lion Tracking Safari Uganda

This safari combines chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest National park also know as the primate capital of the world and the second largest park Queen Elizabeth National Park that is Perfect for nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts.

Day 1: Pick-Up and Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

This 4 days safari begins with a morning pick-up from Kampala or Entebbe by our professional driver-guide to start off your journey westwards toward Kibale Forest National Park the home to over 1,500 chimpanzees and 12 other primate species including red colobus and black-and-white colobus. On your way you will drive through scenic countryside, passing rolling hills, tea plantations, and crater lakes. On your way you will have a stopover in Fort Portal for lunch . After you will proceed with your journey where on arrival you will check in the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Have morning breakfast and head for chimpanzee tracking. Accompanied by a ranger, you’ll walk through the tropical forest to track a habituated chimpanzee group, Once found, you’ll spend up to one hour observing their behavior, how they feed and communicate. After have lunch and depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park (approximately 2–3 hours’ drive) where along the way you will enjoy views of the Rwenzori Mountains and rural communities. Arrive in Queen Elizabeth in the evening and check into your lodge. Relax and enjoy dinner.

Day 3: Lion tracking and afternoon boat cruise

You will begin your day will chilled breakfast as you prepare to go and meet the the kings of the jungle an activity called lion tracking in Elizabeth National Park. You will be guided by researchers and rangers who join a team using radio tracking devices to locate and study the park’s famous lions, including the tree-climbing species of the Ishasha sector, this experience will give you a closer look at their behavior, territory, and conservation efforts. After lunch, enjoy a relaxing afternoon boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, where you’ll spot hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and a variety of birds along the shores. This day combines adventure, education, and scenic beauty, offering unforgettable wildlife encounters.

Day 4: Transfer Back to Kampala

After breakfast and check-out, start your return journey to Kampala. you will have a brief stop at the Kikorongo Equator for more photos then Continue with your journey towards Mbarara, where you’ll stop at the Igongo Cultural Centre for lunch . After lunch, proceed with the drive, arriving in Kampala or Entebbe in the late afternoon or evening, marking the end of your unforgettable 4-day Uganda safari.
