African Ibis Adventures

This 4-day safari to Murchison Falls National Park combines thrilling wildlife encounters with breathtaking natural wonders. The adventure begins with a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary before entering Uganda’s largest park, home to elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, and leopards. Guests will enjoy game drives across the savannah, a scenic boat cruise on the Nile to the base of the mighty falls, and a hike to the top for spectacular views of the roaring cascade. Guided nature walks while sunrise and sunset safaris crown the experience with unforgettable wildlife moments.

Day 1: Pick up and Transfer to Murchison Falls

You will start your journey with a pick-up from Kampala or Entebbe and drive northwest to Murchison Falls National Park where you will have a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for thrilling rhino tracking on foot. Continue, have lunch along the way before entering the park.On arrival you will check into the lodge for relaxation, dinner and over night stay.

Day 2: Game Drive and Boat Cruise

Start with an early morning game drive across the northern savannah plains. Look out for elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, leopards, hyenas, and a variety of antelope species. After breakfast and some relaxation at the lodge, have lunch before heading out for an afternoon boat cruise along the Nile. Spot pods of hippos, basking crocodiles, and colorful birdlife, including African fish eagles. The boat docks at the base of Murchison Falls, offering dramatic views of the roaring cascade. Return to your lodge for dinner and a relaxed evening.

Day 3: Top of the Falls Hike and Nature Walk

After breakfast, cross to the southern bank for a guided hike to the top of Murchison Falls. Feel the spray and power of the Nile as it squeezes through a 7-meter gorge and plunges 45 meters below. Later, explore the park further In the afternoon you will head for a guided nature walk in Kaniyo Pabidi or Rabongo Forest, known for primates, forest birds, butterflies, and medicinal plants. You will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at your lodge.

Day 4: Morning Game Drive and Return Journey

Wake up early for a final morning game drive as the savannah comes alive with wildlife activity. Capture your last sightings of elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, predators, and grazing antelopes against the sunrise. After the drive, return to the lodge for breakfast, check out, and begin your journey back to Kampala or Entebbe. Stop for lunch en route and enjoy the countryside views. Arrive in the late afternoon for drop-off at your hotel or airport, marking the end of your memorable 4-day safari in Murchison Falls National Park.
